DESCRIPTION: WW - Patek Philippe, Genève, ref 425, circa 1940s, manual wind, 20mm x 43mm to lug tips, 17mm lug width, original 18K yellow gold snap back case, engraved on the caseback "Wm. B. Devlin, 1937," brown leather strap, refinished silvered dial with original enamel print still visible, 18J, s#831964, triple signed. Includes a copy of the original jeweler's ledger sheet which lists the original sale of the watch to William B. Devlin. Gross weight of 18K case without strap, crystal or movement 9.3 dwt (14.6 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide, fine scratches to plates most notably near the detent; fine dial with light surface spotting and discoloration; fine hands; polished case shows light wear, several light dings on the caseback sides and bezel; Patek signed crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
